Pillow Case in 5 min

Updated: Mar 7, 2019

So, not s-e-w but so, haha. Anyway, I wanted to teach you how to make a pillow case. It is the simplest little thing to make ever! I have made a reversible one for my brother and a regular one for a friend! I love making them! Ok, so let's get started. Here's what you'll need.

~Material, one design or two

~Scissors

~Sewing machine or needle and thread

~Ironing Board

Okay, so first what we are going to do is get your pillow and measure. An average pillow is about 32in by 22in, but don't start cutting yet! You need to add a seam allowance of 1in on each side, and a hem of 1 in, so that is 34in x 23in (you only need a hem on the top) So again, that is 2 34 x 23in pieces of fabric. Now is the fun part!

Take your 2 pieces of fabric and Iron down one inch on the top of each piece of fabric and sew right sides together.

Now, take your two pieces of fabric and sew down the two long ends and one short end right sides together. Flip right side out and ta da, a pillow case! Doesn't it look great! It literally takes five minuets to do! Make a dozen of them for your friends! Don't forget to tell your friends where you learned! See you next time!
